This unique pectin makes thick jam and jelly with rich, full flavor, undiluted by large amounts of sugar. Ordinary fruit pectin requires large amounts of sugar to set firmly. Pomona's Pectin is a low-methoxyl type pectin that is derived from citrus peels and is activated by calcium. Since it does not require sugar to jell, our pectin allows you to make jams and jellies with little or no sweetener.
